At Manhattan Pediatric Associates, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality

What we provide
Services
As a certified PCMH Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home, we offer comprehensive medical care for physical exams, immunizations, and sick visits. We also offer additional services for the convenience of our patients.
We have on-site blood drawing and testing services which allows us to get immediate results for complete blood count levels such as white blood cell, red blood cell, platelet, and hemoglobin. For all children under 6 years of age, we obtain blood via a simple finger prick.
Flu season is scary because the virus is so contagious. We have in-house rapid flu testing that can tell us within 15 minutes if your child has the flu and whether it is type A or B. With immediate testing, your child can get adequate treatment to minimize the duration of the viral infection.
Our advanced vision screener can quickly detect vision issues such as nearsightedness and astigmatism on patients of all ages and developmental levels. If patients wear glasses, we can also screen to see if the glasses prescription is up to date.
We offer rapid strep throat testing in our office. The results are ready in 15 minutes so that your child can be treated on the same day. If your rapid strep test is negative, we can send a confirmation specimen to the lab for higher accuracy testing.
We have an asthma treatment room for all respiratory care needs such as checking oxygen levels and providing nebulizer treatments.
Our hearing screening is performed using OAEs or Otoacoustic Emissions. A small earphone is placed into the ear and the probe emits and then measures the sound waves that comes back. This is the same test used for the newborn hearing screening in the hospitals. Since this test does not need the patient to respond or raise their hand, we can perform this on patients of all ages and developmental levels.
Children often complain of urinary frequency or pain. In a few short minutes, our urinalysis machine can detect the presence of bacteria, protein, blood, glucose, and other abnormalities in the urine sample.
With our on-site blood drawing services, we can complete your WIC form immediately during your visit. If your child requires special nutritional needs, we can also provide supplemental/special WIC certification.
